Fix your schema markup, in plain English
Schema Support answers the structured data questions people actually get stuck on: why a rich result disappeared, what a Search Console warning means, which properties a business really needs, and what schema does (and doesn't) do for AI search.
Every guide starts with the short answer, then shows the evidence, the markup and the official source. Guides are reviewed against Google's and Schema.org's current documentation and dated, so you can see how fresh the advice is.

Frequently asked questions
- Why did my FAQ rich results disappear?
- Google stopped showing FAQ rich results for all sites on 7 May 2026, after limiting them in 2023. The markup can stay, but the dropdowns are not coming back for regular sites.
- Why don't review stars show for my business?
- Google does not show review stars for LocalBusiness or Organization markup when the site controls the reviews about itself. That is the self-serving review rule.
- Do I need to fix Search Console 'missing field' warnings?
- Usually not. Warnings do not make an item ineligible; errors do. Fix errors first, then judge each warning on whether the field matters for the rich result you want.
- Does schema markup help me appear in ChatGPT or Perplexity?
- Schema helps machines understand who you are, but study data shows AI answers mostly cite directories, booking apps and specific self-contained facts. Markup is groundwork, not a recommendation engine.
